Reston Sprint
The annual Reston Sprint Triathlon takes place on the first Sunday in June. It begins with a 400-meter swim in Lake Newport pool, followed by a 12-mile bike ride on Reston roads, and ends with a 5K run on area paths. Afterward, celebrate your success and share stories with friends and family in the post-race beer garden. Includes Aquathon & Sprint Relay.

Our race celebrates not just seasoned athletes but every participant’s personal victory—experience the thrill of accomplishment as you cross that finish line, surrounded by cheering family, friends, and the entire Racing in Reston community. Reston Triathlon
Since 1984, the Reston Triathlon has been a staple in our community. It begins with a 1500-meter open water swim in Lake Audubon, followed by a 25-mile bike ride and a 10K run on local paths. The Olympic distance event has challenged athletes from around the country and has affectionately been called the Reston Triathlon World Championship. Includes Aquathon & Sprint Relay.
